DESCRIPTION
Altemasi’s first label created in 1993, the winery’s flagship label. It stays for more than 60 months on the lees and is a very limited production made from the grapes of the best vintages. The name is inspired by the ancient legend of the Holy Grail, from medieval Latin
gradalis
“cup,goblet” which is well suited to depict its pleasantness in the mouth by enhancing its complex aromas.
TASTING NOTES
Classic Method sparkling wine with white mousse and fine, continuous perlage. Straw yellow color with greenish hues. Fine and intense aroma with notes of apple and citrus accompanied by hints of mineral, candied fruit and pastry. Fresh and balanced on the palate. Significant acidity brings out texture and backbone that support the elegant savoriness and long persistence.
VINEYARD
The highest and most suitable hilly areas for sparkling wine in Trentino (Trento hills, Brentonico Plateau and Valle dei Laghi). Medium-textured soils, fluvio-glacial and volcanic in nature, moderately shallow and located at elevations between 500 and 600 meters above sea level.
