Champagne Jose Ardinat Carte d’Or Brut
Essentially Pinot Meunier
This champagne wears a pale gold dress with white foam and a continuous chain of bubbles.
The nose is expressive, dominated by dried apricot and peppermint. The palate has good balance. The attack is silky, fresh finish. One then finds notes of white flowers.
Carte d’Or will delight your guests during an aperitif. At the table, it comes with a fruit plate (apricots or grapes)
It was Serge FAUST, Joëlle’s father, who decided in 1968 to adopt agrobiological production methods on his farm. No predefined production scheme is offered to pioneers of this type who have to “improvise” a new cultivation method. The risk is great because the conversion affects the entire vineyard. At first the feeling of zeroing in on a new viticulture arouses enthusiasm, but at the same time doubt is part of the daily routine. Adversity did not change the will but on the contrary united the family around this ambitious project.
