Armagnac Hors D’Age Bas Armagnac Dartigalongue
Founded by Pascal Dartigalongue under the reign of Louis Philippe in 1838, Maison Dartigalongue is the oldest House producing Bas Armagnac. Based in Nogaro, in the heart of Bas Armagnac, only wines from this area, reputed to be the best for the refinement of its Cru, are distilled.

Characteristics
The Gers and Landes straddle adopts the continuous still at 58% vol and the “Charantais” system, which is recognized by the 1972 decree as being of superior quality due to the elimination of impurities and the consequent achievement of a more refined and elegant spirit. In Hors d’Âge the minimum aging of 7-8 years, takes place in new (30%) 400-liter barrels of Gascony oak.

Tasting notes:
The nose aromas of vanilla, plums, toasted oak and yellow fruit are expressed on the palate with nice length and savory, spicy notes.
