Armagnac XO Premium “Arche” Veuve Goudoulin
Located in COURRENSAN in BAS ARMAGNAC, Maison Veuve Goudoulin was founded in 1935 by Jeanne Goudoulin. From 1964 to April 2009 the Maison was directed by his grandson Christian Faure.
The current owner is Michel Miclo.
Bas-Armagnac Goudoulin is made according to artisanal and traditional methods by distilling the region’s best white wines, using the “armagnacais” still method, which has the particularity’ of running continuously.
The resulting distillates are very fine and full of aroma, and are then destined for various ages in oak barrels. Veuve Goudoulin Armagnacs are prestigious, endowed with delicate complexity and remarkable persistence
Armagnac XO Premium “Arche” is an “assemblage” of the best Bas-Armagnac and Armagnac Ténarèze, of which the youngest has 30 years of aging.
Organoleptic characteristics:
- View: has a beautiful amber color with mahogany highlights.
- Nose: aromas of great complexity, seduces with its exotic nuances of jasmine flowers and orange blossom, background of plums, balsamic.
- Taste: warm and plum, licorice and bitter almond are found. Notes of tobacco linger on the finish.
