Balvenie Single Barrel Traditional Oak
is characterized by subtle, rich aromas of sweetness and honey; Malt Master David Stewart selects only whiskey barrels for bottling that have the character expected of a Balvenie matured for 25 years exclusively in American oak.
However, an identical single malt can never be produced from two casks. Thus, the single malt from each cask of Single Barrel Traditional Oak aged 25 years is unique and no more than 300 bottles will be filled from one cask. This can also be read on the label – hand-numbered with distillation date, bottling date and cask in which the whiskey matured.
The Balvenie Single Barrel Traditional Oak aged 25 years is a non-chill-filtered version with an ABV 47.8%.
