BERLUCCHI ’61 NATURE BLANC DE BLANCS
2014

The innate refinement of a 100% Chardonnay vintage, zero dosage, makes it advisable for the whole meal. It gives its best alongside complex aperitifs, seafood dishes, risottos, fish main courses, white meats and medium-aged cheeses.

U V E: Chardonnay (100%), coming from the central portion of the vineyard owned by Arzelle, with a high plant density (10,000 plants / hectare).

HARVEST PERIOD: third decade of August 2014. YIELD: 8,500 kg of grapes per hectare, with a must yield of

30% equivalent to 3,400 bottles per hectare.

VINIFICATION: soft and progressive pressing of the bunches with fractionation of the musts; alcoholic fermentation in steel vats and aging of the best parcels in oak barrels, where they mature for 6 months in contact with the yeasts.

MATURATION: preparation of the cuvée in the spring following the harvest, exclusively with 100% of the vintage wines. Second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent aging on the lees for at least 5 years, followed by another 6 months after disgorgement.

DOSAGE: Zero dosage.

2014

It is the celebration of the first Franciacorta rosé Classic method, which was just a Berlucchi. 100% Pinot Noir, is our vintage rosé with zero dosage. Excellent for the whole meal, it enhances aperitifs based on salami with a strong taste, first courses of land, tasty meats and cheeses, even seasoned

U V E: Pinot Noir (100%), from the Ragnoli, Quindicipiò and Gaspa owned vineyards; all with high planting density (10,000 plants / hectare).

HARVEST PERIOD: third decade of August 2014. YIELD: 7,500 kg of grapes per hectare, with an average yield in

must of 35% equivalent to 3,500 bottles per hectare.

VINIFICATION: soft and progressive pressing of the grapes with fractionation of the musts for the Pinot Nero vinified in white, cold pre-maceration for about 24 hours and subsequent soft pressing for the Pinot Nero vinified in rosé. Alcoholic fermentation of musts in steel vats and aging for 6 months in contact with the yeasts.

A small amount of Pinot Noir is vinified in red with fermentation maceration for about 7 days.

MATURATION: preparation of the cuvée in the spring following the harvest, exclusively with 100% of the vintage wines. Second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent aging on the lees for at least 5 years, followed by another 6 months after disgorgement.

Dedicated to the most discerning connoisseurs, it is a zero-dosage vintage that enhances structured first courses and fresh filled pasta, main courses of stewed fish, meat dishes and cheeses, even seasoned, when paired.
