Vermouth Berto Rosso
It’s an easy idea to understand. The combination of fine Piedmont wines, herbs, exotic spices and crystal sugar generates a classic red vermouth.
Slow maturation in steel tanks gives the product a striking garnet color with amber hues that elegantly accompanies the classic vinous nose imprint elegantly supported by hints of vanilla and citrus.
Upon tasting Berto Vermouth Rosso releases all its elegance by unfolding in a slight alcoholic embrace that preludes a long and satisfying persistence rich in subtle spicy and bitter returns.
Botanicals: angelica, bitter orange, wormwood, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, coriander, gentian, lemon, hops, mace, marjoram, mint, rhubarb, thyme, vanilla
Serving temperature 7 to 10 degrees
The Bèrto line is the result of a meeting between Federico Ricatto, a well-known chef and alchemist from the Piedmont Langhe area , and Carlo Quaglia, a historic liquor maker from Castelnuovo Don Bosco.
Berto’s first products are the Vermouths (Rosso da Lavoro and Bianco, Aperitivo della Tradizione), inspired by the centuries-old Piedmontese tradition of this flavored and fortified wine.
Production was later expanded by rediscovering recipes for Bitter and Aperitivo, typical Italian-style aperitif liqueurs.
