Black Tomato Gin was born in the authentic port of Bruinisse, a small fishing village with a long tradition in mussel fishing. The distillery faces the clear waters of the Oosterschelde, the largest National Park in the Netherlands.
After many tests and tastings, our master distiller Meindert Kampen has come up with a delicious hand-distilled black tomato gin.
In addition to the secret botanical ingredients, we use drops of fresh salt water from Oosterschelde and black tomatoes with an exceptional flavor.
Our distillery is one of the rare distillers in the Netherlands to have its own traditional malt floor, stone floor for the germination of malt grains.
We are proud to be able to produce traditional organic malt wine using the best ancient ingredients of our province.
Black tomatoes contain a high amount of healing anthocyanins. These compounds are found in vegetables and fruits. Some believe antioxidants could help diabetes, cancer and obesity. We harvest our own organic crop so that we grow the most honest and delicious black tomatoes possible.
100% vegetarian and organic, Black Tomato Gin is a robust and powerful spirit with many different flavors at play. The rich dark fruits are evident and followed by pleasant spice on the palate. The powerful fruitiness of the tomato is balanced by its own flavor and the peppery kick of the juniper.
