It is the greatest treasure of the family. Named after the founder, Don Andres Brugal, this blend was enjoyed by the Brugal family for five generations before ever being commercialized.

Each limited edition is different from the last: the Brugal Papa Andres 2018 edition is a blend of the Brugal family’s private collection of barrels, where the best liquids owned by the family are combined, skilfully blended to obtain a unique rum. .

Since 1880 Brugal has been producing rum in Macorix and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. It uses molasses from local sugar cane. The distillation process takes place in continuous columns, aged up to 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels. It has the largest stock of rum barrels in a single area and is the best-selling rum in the Caribbean.
