Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Luminous Brut Magnum 1.5 Lt
Straw yellow with golden hues and fine perlage, it opens on aromas of brioche bread, white flowers and dried fruit, then chalky mineral notes and vaguely sweet notes of honey and vanilla. Striking on the palate for freshness and balance, it has fruity references and a nice mineral trail on the close.
Traditionally, the proportions of the different grape varieties used include 50 to 55 percent Pinot Noir, 15 to 20 percent Meunier, and 28 to 33 percent Chardonnay. These percentages vary slightly from year to year depending on circumstances…. For blending, he will draw from the most valuable reserve wines: 30 to 45 percent to ensure the continuity of the Maison’s signature style. All wines are stored separately to preserve the unique qualities of their vineyard and/or vintage.
Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label manages to reconcile two opposite characteristics-strength and silkiness-and keep them in perfect balance with aromatic intensity and a great freshness. This consistent ability to satisfy the palate makes it ideal for an aperitif, as well as a perfect Champagne with which to accompany a meal.
Perfect as an aperitif, with seafood starters, grilled shellfish but also with pizza and supplì, such a bottle is good for all occasions!
