2 Pinot Bianco vineyards, with an average age of 28 years, located in the Municipality of Passirano.
6 Pinot Nero vineyards, with an average age of 27 years, located in the municipalities of Erbusco and Passirano.

AVERAGE YIELD PER HECTARE
8,000 kilograms of grapes, equivalent to 3,440 liters of wine (wine yield: 43%).

THE VINIFICATION
The Franciacorta Vintage Collections are the result of a careful selection of the grapes and a skilful vinification conducted in full compliance with the Ca ‘del Bosco Method. The grapes, freshly picked by hand in small boxes, are classified and cooled. Each bunch is selected by expert eyes and hands, to then benefit from exclusive “grape spas”. A particular system of washing and hydromassage of the bunches, through three soaking tanks and a drying tunnel. After pressing in the absence of oxygen, all the musts of the base wines ferment in small oak barrels. To seek the maximum aromatic complexity and expressive power, without losing elegance, the barrel elevation lasts only 5 months.
A pair of floating tanks allows the decanting of wines by gravity, from small barrels to aging tanks. After 7 months from the harvest, the cuvée is created. The Vintage Collection
Brut 2016 is the result of a skilful combination of 26 Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero base wines which give the finished product a particular, rich and complex profile. The greater percentage of Pinot Noir gives it power and nobility, further strengthened by a long refinement in the bottle.
The dégorgement takes place in the absence of oxygen, using a unique system in the world, designed and patented by Ca ‘del Bosco. This avoids oxidative shocks and further additions of sulphites, making our Franciacortas purer, more pleasant and longer-lived. Finally, each packaged bottle is uniquely marked, to ensure its traceability.
