Cantine Florio Marsala Vergine Riserva 1998 – VR 1898 is a fortified quality DOC Marsala Vergine Riserva wine made from the best DOC white grapes for Marsala in 1997. This Marsala Vergine Riserva has undergone a long process of vinification and aging that has resulted in an extraordinary product, characterized by a dark mahogany color and intense aromas of raisins, tobacco, honey and vanilla. The palate is assertive and straightforward, with hints of tropical fruit, caramelized nuts, and delicate spices, lingering in a long and surprising finish. After aging for 23 years in oak barrels, this fine Marsala Vergine develops a personal and unique architecture, encased in bottles for only 900 lucky people. It is a meditation wine to be enjoyed at a serving temperature of 14-16°C.
