Caol Ila has always produced peat whiskey. He bottled the first version of non-torbate in 2005 and has maintained the habit ever since.

Taste Notes

A delicate feeling on the nose, despite the gradation.

Fresh, with fruity notes, green apple, orange peel. Dry and surprisingly delicate on the palate. Notes of licorice, honey

clear, pine resin, salt, and lemon. Rich and pleasantly compact, slightly oily yet dry. In the finale it is long

and persistent, with spicy and licorice notes of honey and lemon zest.
