Cardhu hails from one of Speyside’s oldest distilleries, which has been in the foothills near the River Spey for 200 years and the Cardhu range is an excellent representation of these Speyside whiskeys. Known for its smooth and sweet single malt whiskey, the story of Cardhu’s rise to fame is largely told in the story of two determined women who were members of the founding family.

APPEARANCE
Golden honey.
BODY
Soft, pleasant and medium-bodied.
NOSE
Full strength, intoxicating, pungent on the nose, drops of pear and notes of heather, resin and sweet honey closely integrated. tempting. Intriguing. With a little water, still harmonious but less pronounced, it reveals some cereal malt, soft and spicy wood, heath and faint traces of wood smoke.
PALATE
Well balanced, soft on the palate; short, sweet and fresh punch, then a pronounced drying effect. Moorish. Pleasant at any time, with little or no water.
THE FINAL
Sweet and persistent smoke with an attractive and dry aftertaste.
