Flexible and light-bodied, this is a superb expression of Cardhu, perfectly enhanced by a mysterious note of Parma violets and with all the timeless elegance of a perfect single flower.
This is a harmonious and utterly charming Cardhu, its fruity and meadowsweet aromas, its sweet, lush and round taste accentuated by a surprising and unusual fragrance note.
OUTWARD APPEARANCE
Bright polished brass with golden highlights.
BODY
Light to medium.
NOSE
The delicate nose is fresh and slightly fruity, as sweet aromas of white grapes and lychee joke with sharper hints of green apple, pear and a trace of orange peel, all topped with a hint of buttery pastry. Above these, a slight spicy note reveals more of the seasoned wood in the wine. A drop of water introduces a light note of wildflowers, which become distinctly honeyed with time.
PALATE
A soft, creamy and fairly full texture, the sweet taste reminiscent of homemade candy. Soon that taste becomes more fragrant and hints of Parma violets, a note further enriched by vinous red apple and pear fruit and made even more palatable by fresh, clean oak. A drop of water softens it into a delicious creamy-sweet freshness, leaving just a hint of spice.
FINAL
Short, sweet, clean and warm, with lingering scent in the aftertaste. With even smoother water, when a warm hint of white pepper appears, while there is a final burst of green apple in the aftertaste.
