Castellaro Estate Ypsilon Red 2020
The latest from Castellaro: a new red wine named after the geographical shape of the Aeolian archipelago, which draws a Ypsilon lying on the sea off the coast of Sicily.
It is a blend that harmonizes three red berries characteristic of Lipari, Sicily and Etna: Corinth, Nero d’Avola and Alicante into a ready-to-drink, purple, full-bodied wine that maintains freshness and minerality.
Low-temperature vinification with brief maceration of the wine with the skins. No clarification, only static decantation and repeated racking to make the wine naturally clear before bottling.
