Castellucci Miano Valledolmo Contea di Sclafani Sicilia DOC Bianco 2021
The origins of viticulture in the Valle dell’Olmo estate date back to 1570 until, by the mid-nineteenth century, it reached an extent of 530 hectares of vineyards, from which wine was produced for sale in neighboring towns.
The history of Castelluccimiano begins with their origins. They studied and recovered old sapling vineyards left over from the large expanse of the past, making them unique examples of biodiversity in the Valledolmo area. From the recovery of this heritage, our production philosophy was born. The wines produced from these grapes represent a rare example of territorial identity. Our success in the markets is a definitive confirmation of our idea of territory. 75 hectares of vineyards spread over the slopes and basins of the mountains surrounding Valledolmo represent an indigenous viticultural heritage unique to the history it represents. The ancient bush-trained vineyards together with the more recent espalier vines create a rare example of enhancement.
