Chablis Albert Pic 1er Cru 2012 257th Harvest

Maison Albert Pic & Fils, founded in 1755, is the oldest in the Chablis region. Belonging to Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, a well-known producer of Pouilly Fumé “Baron de L,” House Albert Pic is distinguished by its full range of Chablis, which includes all the classic appellations of the area.

Origin and Grape Varieties: All of House Albert Pic’s Chablis wines come exclusively from the Chardonnay grape, which expresses its full potential in this region. The different designations are determined by the geographical location of the vineyards and the diversity of the soil, which is typically Kimmeridgian.

Characteristics of Cru:

  • Exclusive Cuvée: Produced only in exceptional vintages, first dating back to 1755.
  • Aging Capacity: Over 15 years.
  • Vineyard Exposure: Southwest.
  • Age of the Vineyards: 35 years.

Vinification: After fermentation in steel and cement tanks, this Chablis is straw yellow in color with golden highlights.

Tasting Notes:

  • Appearance: Straw yellow with golden hues.
  • Nose: Warm aromas of flowers and white fruits compose a rich and elegant bouquet.
  • Palate: Good structure with a refined and elegant body.
