Chambord is a natural black raspberry liqueur made in the Loire Valley, south of Paris. It is made with raspberries and blackberries based on cognac and neutral French alcohol. It comes from a finely crafted blend of spirits and cognac infused with whole raspberries and blackberries soaked for several weeks in neutral alcohols of French origin. The berries are then soaked in a second batch of liquor, then pressed for their sugar and juice. The Maitre Liquoriste then makes a blend of infusions, sweetened juice and cognac with extracts of Madagascar vanilla, Moroccan citrus peel, black raspberries, honey and other herbs and spices.
