Champagne Benoît Lahaye Brut Nature
Benoît Lahaye has been a security and no longer a rising star in Champagne for a few years now, operating precisely in Bouzy, the heart of pinot noir.
A very prominent Champagne winemaker, Benoît Lahaye, is first and foremost a strong character. Willpower and courage, it takes to manage his 4.5 hectares of old vines (average age 40 years) in ‘organic’ (certified) and express the territories of Bouzy, Ambonnay, Voipreux and Tauxières down to the smallest details of winemaking, with honesty and humility. One certainty: the stylish wines inherit the subtler accents of these areas, thanks to minimal dosage. This is particularly manifest in the brut Nature cuvée, which is complex and pure.
Almost entirely Pinot Noir. Bouquet of yellow flowers, blood orange, cedar and red fruits (strawberry and currant). Mouth firm, robust but not oily. Very comfortable at the table.
