Cointreau
Excellence is cultivated through the constant pursuit of perfection. Today this tradition is continued by Maison Cointreau’s Master Distiller, Carole Quinton. Balanced. Versatile. Aromatic. Inevitable. Discover Cointreau L’Unique.
Cointreau Liqueur is triple sec produced in Saint-Barthélemy-d’Anjou in France, near the town of Angers, by the Rémy Cointreau company. Cointreau triple sec is distilled in red copper stills with fresh and dried peels, flowers and essential oils of oranges from Spain, Africa and Brazil, spices, water, alcohol and sugar. Cointreau is transparent and crystal clear, with opalescent hues, intense orange aroma and taste, and 40% alcohol content.
ASPECT
Cointreau is no stranger to the unexpected, and its deep amber bottle hides a visual surprise: a perfectly clear liquor. Once mixed, the crystalline liquor becomes opalescent, a physical testament to the high concentration of orange essence.
AROMA
Cointreau is an aromatic enterprise and owes this impact to a complex blend of orange peel essences. Citrusy, fresh, floral, sweet… With a spectrum of more than 40 olfactory notes, Cointreau is a fascinating ode to orange on its own and an enhancer of other flavors when blended.
TASTE
Cointreau’s flavor profile is a symphony of unexpected dualities: it has instant freshness but lingers on the palate; it is a harmonious blend of nuanced notes but remains intensely orange. In cocktails, Cointreau acts as a flavor amplifier, helping to reveal the other ingredients and bringing balance, depth and freshness to the mix.
