Champagne Cristal 2008 Magnum Brut Lt. 1.5
Cristal is the most famous of the Maison’s wines born in 1876 to satisfy the discerning taste of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor asks Louis Roederer to reserve for him each year the Maison’s best cuvée, which he particularly appreciates. To accentuate the uniqueness of this exceptional champagne, a flat-bottomed crystal bottle will be specially created. It will bear the name of this fine material, which enhances its transparency and brightness.
2008 vintage
Characterized by a particularly dry but cool summer period, the 2008 vintage definitely falls into the category of “continental” vintages that are charged and powerful because they have great concentration. However, the strangely cool temperatures of summer “distinguished” this vintage, giving it an incredible freshness, at once intense and saline.

TASTING COMMENTS
Amber color with green and orange highlights.
Fine, regular and dynamic effervescence.
Complex and intense bouquet of candied citrus, yellow fruits, Williams pear, pollen and toasted almond. The delicate charm of an intense, precise and sophisticated bouquet.
Immense attack, wide thick at the same time. In 2008 the matter is present but takes a particular form: it is not the sun that concentrated this matter, almost saline, but the aridity of the chalky soils during a summer marked by cool temperatures. The result is a tactile, almost liquor-like sensation that invests the mouth, powerful and sweet at the same time, which continues with an incredible nale that rests on freshness, with an impression of absolute purity, taut and ultra-saline.
The exuberance of this wine is controlled by particularly long bottle aging: in fact, Cristal 2008 enjoys 10 years of aging. An exploit!
