The 2004 vintage will mark the history of Dom Pérignon for its richness and generosity. In contrast to 2003, vegetative development was regular and without abnormalities, resulting in abundant yields with large berries. Although the weather had foretold mild, with a rather cool August, it was the dry heat of recent weeks that determined the character of the Millesimo. The harvest began on September 24, with perfectly healthy and ripe grapes.

With Dom Pérignon Vintage 2004 Plénitude 2, Dom Pérignon reconnects with the 2004 vintage. After the hectic pace of 2003, 2004 manifestly appeared to be a year of rebirth and tranquility.

AN ESTABLISHED AND PRECISE MINERALITY

The fruitiness of 2004, though discreet, is more clearly delineated in this Second Life of Wine. Pink grapefruit and blood orange give way to fig on the finish. Further aging on the lees sublimates the minerality of the Millesimo into a glorious maturity, emblematic of Dom Pérignon: cocoa, mocha, roasted notes, brioche and honey.
