Dom Perignon 2008 Magnum
THE PERFECT HARMONY
Dom Pérignon creates only Vintage Champagnes, made from the best grapes selected in a single vintage.
It never stops reinventing itself, to always interpret the exclusive character of each season to the fullest. He refuses to compromise, forgoing the creation of Millesimato when the vintage is not up to par.
After elaboration for at least eight years, the wine achieves perfect balance, the finest promise of the Maison. This is Dom Pérignon Vintage, the Plénitude of Harmony.
2008: A CHAMPAGNE MIRACLE
2008 is a year dominated by gray and cloudy skies-an exception to the rest of the decade, which was characterized by a prevalence of beautiful and generously sunny weather. Just as the harvest begins, the weather conditions are finally perfect: blue skies and persistent north and northeast winds. The grapes are riper than expected and have a truly extraordinary balance. The vines are in perfect health.
To the invigorating acidity, essentiality and aromatic purity typical of the 2008 vintage, Dom Pérignon adds depth, density and complexity. The brightness is warmer and less penetrating.
TO THE NOSE
The bouquet attack is complex and bright: a mix of white flowers, citrus and stone fruits. The overall effect is emphasized by the freshness of anise and freshly chopped mint. The final aromas offered by the wine begin to reveal spicy, woody and roasted notes.
AT THE PALATE
After a long period of reticence, the wine finally reveals its full personality, characterized by a complete balance between nose and palate. Finally, its fine, minimalist, pure, toned and vigorous character is also expressed through warmer notes. The fruit is clear and pronounced. The typical millesimato acidity is definitely well integrated. Its persistence is mainly aromatic, austere, smoky and particularly promising.
CULINARY PAIRINGS
A wine that offers duality: warmth and freshness, meat pairings and iodine notes, cooked or raw dishes. Spices enhance and enhance the effervescence of 2008 and increase the density of the wine. Dom Pérignon is the ally of playful experimentation: culinary arts, textures and materials.
