2019 vintage weather trend
The 2019 vintage will be remembered as one of the best of the current decade; the winter was clement on the Southwest side, with harsh and cold, but not too much rain. Spring, on the other hand, saw cold peaks until late April, with a slow opening of the buds and a general slowdown in the vegetative phase until late June, where temperatures rose abruptly, melting the snows on the summit of the Volcano and steeply increasing temperatures until the end of August; in fact, in the summer months there was very little precipitation and dry, parched weather. September and October were marked by a slight increase in precipitation and clear weather with powerful temperature ranges and very cold nights. Overall, the grapes, despite a small and noticeable reduction in quantity, benefited from the splendid vintage, ensuring excellent quality and excellent concentration. The 2019 A’Puddara is taut on the nose, with hints of orange blossom, tangerine, graphite and broom, with a slight hydrocarbon and herbaceous hint. In the mouth, it is green, vertical and very iodized, with a saline and persistent finish with marked acidity.
