Year 2020 climate trend
The 2020 vintage in the municipality of Rovittello, North Slope, is characterized by a very mild winter without much rainfall, in return the vegetative stages were slightly delayed, starting with bud opening near the end of April due to cold weather and some snowfall. This tendency is characterized by the high humidity and harsh climates of the parts of the vineyard that are close to the ski slopes, which is the portion devoted to our rosé. These areas are always cooler and wetter, and even during summer they benefit from shade and a large temperature range. The months from May through September had no major surges, but rather slow and steady ripening, little rainfall and generally a very healthy and balanced trend, as well as in harvest. Rosato 2020 is off-color and close to onion skin like color intensity, the nose has a strong hint of spices, ink, Mediterranean scrub and wild strawberry, with a very salty and long finish, vertical but rich in the mouth.
