The contrada Santo Spirito borders the steep, skinny contrada of Guardiola, but it is characterized by extraordinary beauty, with wide, serene terraces that gently extend down into the valley. The soils are deep and rich, with sumptuous grass and vigorous vines exhibiting their abundance.

Characteristics: Santo Spirito wines are described as sensual and succulent, with an almost meaty bouquet and a rich, enveloping palate. They are pure and balanced, refined and tender at the same time. Their complexity makes them similar to a sophisticated musical composition such as Duke Ellington’s “Sophisticated Lady.” They pair well with fine dishes such as velvety soups, noble poultry, pork roast and escalopes with Marsala wine.
