Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso Santo Spirito 2020
The Contrada borders the steep, bumpy, skinny one of Guardiola: adjacent to its northern limit, and lower in elevation, it follows the hill’s descent to the Alcantara.
Although adjacent, it could not be more different.
A place of extraordinary beauty, Holy Spirit, with wide, serene terraces that flow gently down into the valley. Deep, rich soils flaunting sumptuous grass, vigorous vines displaying their nourishing abundance.
Santo Spirito wines are sensual and succulent, always seductive, with an almost meaty bouquet and a rich, enveloping palate. But always very pure and balanced. Very refined, yes, but also tender. At once generous and vulnerable. Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Lady can give you a musical picture. Cream soups, noble poultry, pork loin, Marsala escalopes.
