Terre Nere Estate Etna Rosso Prephylloxera 2020
In Calderara Sottana, opposite and to the right of the winery, in a vineyard of about four hectares there are two plots that survived phylloxera. Therefore, they are about 130-140 years old, and they are foot free. In 2006 they decided to vinify the grapes separately. The vintage was splendid, almost monumental. These grapes gave a wine of almost supernatural finesse. Although the adjoining vineyards produced a beautiful wine of very similar character, the prefillosseric vines seemed to graze on heavenly soils: the quintessence of Calderara. He is more timid and wants more patience. His elegance is always measured, his authority gentle, his refinement graceful. A magnificent wine. Allow the wine to grow along with the dinner it accompanies.
