This wine is made from the best batches of Nerello Mascalese that have been selected for perfect polyphenolic ripeness. The long low-temperature maceration allows for a complete extraction of the components, creating a wine in which the true potential of these particular grapes and Etna’s terroir are enhanced.
The particular elegance of the tannins combined with considerable concentration results in great sensory complexity in which the mineral taste of the black sands of the volcano is very finely highlighted. Alongside these characteristics, there are spicy notes that combine very nicely with the fruitiness of the grapes, and traces of vanilla and roasted hazelnuts can be felt in the aftertaste.
