DESCRIPTION Botanical Brewing is a process that stems from Fentimans’ unique recipe and involves the use of herbs and plant roots. Today it takes place with the addition of mild carbonation to replace the carbon dioxide lost in pasteurization. This gives the product a longer life and keeps the alcohol level, which naturally occurs during slow fermentation, no higher than 0.5 percent. In every Fentimans product, a sediment can be seen at the base of the bottle. This is the result of the original production process, which ensures that all the flavor and goodness extracted from the raw materials can end up in the bottle. Sediment is a key component of Fentimans natural sodas, as it gives them a more invigorating flavor, and characterizes them distinctly.
