Champagne Francois Chaumont Blanc de Noirs extra Brut
All the personality of Pinot Noir is expressed with even more intensity with the Extra-Brut dosage. A longer aging in the cellars softens the vivid expression of power and aromas of the cuvée. The Extra-Brut quality corresponds to a light dosage of wines (quantity of sugar less than 6 g / l).
The Champagne has a light, luminous and fluid straw yellow color, with soft silver yellow reflections and a lively vapor of refined bubbles. It suggests both freshness and variety of shades.
The nose opens with hints of chalk, iodine, licorice, ripe berries, apricot. When aerated, the Champagne evolves towards notes of pear, black currant, cherry, almond, quince, pomelo, honey, with honeysuckle and poppy fragrances and sweet spices such as nutmeg.
The approach to the palate is soft and fresh with creamy effervescence. Champagne develops a pulpy and crunchy substance well underlined by a fresh acidity reminiscent of those of black fruit and pomelo. The central mouth is orchestrated by chalky minerality that provides salinity, frankness and enhances the fruity aromas. The vibrant and balanced finish offers an elegant feeling of chalk stone as a signature of the terroir.
