Fred Jerbis Gin 43 Classic cl 70
A distinctive gin, straw-yellow in color, rich in aromas and scents, first herbaceous then spicy; a complex taste, but simple at the same time, because it is balanced. Juniper predominates on the nose, while alcoholic tones are almost absent. The taste is balanced and delicate with herbaceous, citrus and spicy notes; there is no single predominance, but it is a symphony of aromas.
Method Of Production 5 extractive methods: Alcohol distillation; Steam distillation; Cold maceration of dried plant; Cold maceration of fresh plant; Hot maceration (digestion).
inGreDienti 43 Botanicals of Italian Origin: juniper, angelica, lemon, orange, tangerine, thyme, lavender, mint, anise, fennel, mountain pine, lemon balm, iris, imperatoria, savory, clary sage, yarrow, saffron, orange blossom.
Straw yellow color given by the cold infusion of orange blossom and saffron.
ProfuMo Accentuated notes of juniper, violet (given by Iris), light lavender and citrus, both from the fruit and the flower; to the herbaceous finish characterized by coriander and angelica. The freshness that closes the finish is provided by mint.
Taste Delicate but persistent herbaceous, and citrusy. The body, semi-sweet, comes from botanicals such as dill, fennel and anise; the bitter notes from the maceration of plants such as imperatoria, gentian, but especially juniper (present in twice the percentage of a classic gin); rounded finish thanks to angelica, both seeds and roots; it closes with a freshness of thyme, lemon balm, sage and mint.
retroFlavor/retroflective Lingering bitterness given by the strength of wormwood and imperatoria, but especially juniper.
abbinaMenti goes well with most tonics, as both the bitter and sweeter parts are present; in addition, the many essences of gin explode on the palate diluted with the tonic
