Characteristics
Traminer is probably the most famous wine of Alsace. It comes from northern Italy and dates back to the 16th century. Literally meaning spicy or musky it became Gewürztraminer around the year 1950. It is produced in lieux-dits Bollenberg and Bux in the Kessler cru known locally as “Le Vallon.”

Tasting notes:
The color is bright yellow, clear and transparent. Complex aromas on the nose range from candied fruit to white flowers and ginger. On the palate the distinct vivacity is accompanied by notes of exotic fruits (banana, mango), spices (ginger, Sichuan pepper) and flowers (peony). Powerful and delicate is appreciated for its balanced and juicy taste.
