Orbium is a reimagining of Hendrick’s Gin created by Master Distiller, Lesley Gracie. With additional extracts of quinine, wormwood, and blue lotus flower, the result is an exquisite gin that fits perfectly on the palate.
It is almost certainly not for everyone.
Orbium contains the same distillates as Hendrick’s Gin, however, the same extraordinary mind that broke conventions by infusing gin with essences of cucumber and rose has now taken gin in a whole new direction by giving flavors traditionally associated with classic gin libations; quinine (Gin & Tonic) and absinthe found in Vermouth (Martini Cocktail). But it is still not quite Orbium.
The addition of Blue Lotus Blossom exquisitely balances the overall flavor; but the trinity of essences together creates a complex gin with a surprising brightness and an unusually long finish. The result is an unfamiliar taste that is strangely familiar designed to open up previously unexplored dimensions of gin as it evolves from floral to a deeper, seductively bitter place.
