GlenDronach 12 YO The Original is a superb single malt that reflects the richness of its aging in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso Spanish sherry casks for at least 12 years. With a 43% ABV and natural color, this whiskey offers a sweet and creamy flavor profile.
Tasting Notes:
Expression: The original 12-year-old GlenDronach
External Appearance: deep amber-red gold.
Nose: Opens with sweet and creamy vanilla aromas, ginger accents and a touch of mulled wine spice. Notes of pears also emerge.
Palate: The palate is rich, creamy and silky, with a warm sweetness of oak and sherry. There are full mouthfeelings, with raisins, berries and a medium-length spiciness that leads to a dry finish.
Conclusion: The finish is long, full and consistent, with light nutty notes.
