Origin of grapes: from Passopisciaro, municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, north slope of Etna at 600 m above sea level.
Type of planting: espalier bred sapling
Strain density per ha: 6300
Soils: Brown, volcanic soils rich in skeleton, sandy to sandy loam, neutral ph, noncalcareous, rich to very rich in iron and high in nitrogen
Treatments: sulfur and copper
Harvest date: from mid-September
Vinification: in cement tanks, after destemming and pressing without any maceration.
Aging: in concrete tanks on the lees for six months
