his special Grappa Riserva, already aged, for a long period, in oak wood (2 years) was later put to rest for several months (24 months) in barrels, previously used to age “Sauternes” wine from some prestigious wineries.
The particular sojourn in Sauternes barrels has been experimented by us in an innovative way on Grappa and with exceptional results from a quality point of view.
The heady scent with aromas of ripe fruit, honey and acacia flowers and the rich, fresh, elegant flavor with notes of candied fruit and oak are very reminiscent of that of the Sauternes already contained in these barrels.

Raw material: Pomace (mostly from Moscato and Brachetto grape varieties), from grapes harvested fresh during the harvest and selected Sibona.
Distillation: Totally in-house, in copper stills, thanks to the skillful experience of our oenologists-master distillers.
Aging: for a long period in stainless steel tanks.
Aging: first for 2 years in medium-capacity classic oak barrels and then in Sauternes barrels for an additional 2 years (total stay in wood 4 years).
Alcohol content: 44 % vol.
Bottle: special and elegant Sibona graduated bottle with side notches indicating contents and pouring spout.
Case: Elegant cylindrical case, with top closure.
Capacity: 50 cl.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS

Color: Amber.
Nose: Heady, with aromas of ripe fruit, honey and acacia flowers.
Taste: Rich, aromatic, fresh, elegant with notes of candied fruit and oak.
Pairings: Dried fruits, nuts, almonds, sweets and chocolate. Also delicious with aged cheeses. Perfect pairing with cigar as well.
Tasting Tips: Taste at a temperature of about 18°C (64°F), in a classic tulip glass or baloon glass with or without a stem (cognac type).
