Habitation Velier Takamaka 2018
Habitation Velier presents the world premiere of Takamaka, made from 100 percent Seychelles sugar cane and distilled in pot still. Founded in 2002 by Richard and Bernard d’Offray, the Takamaka distillery is located in La Plaine St Andre on the island of Mahé, Seychelles, and has a very artisanal rum production. Sugar cane is grown by about 40 independent growers in Mahé.
Habitation Velier Takamaka 2018 comes from a unique batch, produced in 2018 from pure local sugarcane juice and aged for three years in French oak barrels in a tropical climate. The congeners content is 564.4gr/hlpa, of which 58 are esters. The total angel share is over 11%.
