DONÀ ROUGE was born from the idea of creating something truly special with local Schiava grapes, rediscovering and reinterpreting the partly forgotten and misunderstood potential of this ancient grape variety.
They took their cue from a sunny, airy vineyard at an elevation of 450 m, with medium-textured soil of glacial origin, home to gnarled, 40-50-year-old vines with deep roots. Vines that, cared for carefully and with respect for nature, produce small berry clusters rich in flavor in limited quantities.
The delicate and careful processing in the cellar and the addition of 2% Lagrein and 3% Pinot Noir complete the idea of DONÀ ROUGE.
Refining for 23 months in wooden barrels and aging in the bottle for 2 years make it a characterful, spicy and smooth red wine with great harmony.
