Richard Hennessy furthermore the de facto founder of the Maison, was a man of action and inspiration, in fact particularly fascinated by the Cognac region where he himself created the Founder’s Cellar (Chai du Fondateur) to age the eaux-de-vie of the best vintages.
Richard Hennessy Cognac, in other words, is a tribute created in 1996 as a unique assemblage of about a hundred rare spirits, some of which date back to the early 1800s.
