Kamiki Distillery is located near Nara, the ancient capital of Japan where you can visit many 8th century temples that are said to give the city its spiritual power. Kamiki is a Japanese word formed from Kami which means “God” and iki which means “breath”, and derives from Ōmiwa, one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan (in Nara), tutelary temple of Japanese alcohol producers, a perfect name for this whiskey that makes balance and harmony its strength.

Blended malt whiskey, unfiltered cold, created in limited batches (small batch) with rare high quality Japanese malt whiskeys.
Kamiki is the world’s first whiskey with a Japanese cedar barrel finish, used for centuries to build temples and called Yoshino Sugi.
Japanese cedar is also known for its pleasant fragrance and soft texture that helps calm the mind and body.
It is considered the best wood for the production of local beverage barrels due to its refreshing scent.
Kamiki rests for a second time in Yoshino Sugi to obtain a perfectly soft taste, a scent of sandalwood and a finish of green tea.
