HISTORY: “Like most of the best things, the idea of creating All Rye Distillery was conceived in the sauna.” So say the five finlanders who in 2012 thought of turning the building where the most famous finish cheese factory had been based into a distillery. After two years of work, the distillery began smoking in 2014.
PRODUCT: The base of all Kyro gins is a rye distillate to which 16 dry and 4 freshly distilled botanicals are added. The majority of the botanicals are native, cultivated or wild, such as holmeria, sea buckthorn, wild cranberry or birch leaves.
PROFILE: This gin christened Napue is of an originality that cannot fail to arouse the curiosity of spirits enthusiasts. The nose is marked by notes of juniper, genepe, pine, and cough drops. Medicinal, evolves to mustard and mustard grains. The mouth is very spicy (pepper, nutmeg, clove). Then, Russia’s leather releases a lot of power toward the bottom of the mouth. Much later, a succulent set of herbs (verbena, sage) and lychee invades the palate.
