Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2014 Cl 75
Distinguished by a three-time climate trend, with strong and clear contrasts. After a splendid spring, dry and culminating in a torrid June, a cool and rainy summer followed; September was hot, sunny and very dry. The “key to the harvest” is found in the soils and in the work of the winemakers: gypsum is a winner because it is more draining, in the hills it has allowed to dispose of excess summer water and contain its vigor. The work in the plots, with increasingly virtuous practices, allows to reach the balance and full maturity of the grapes.

Tasting Notes:
Bright gold in color and green reflections, a soft, regular and slow perlage rises in the glass. There are pure, delicate and airy scents with nuances of delicate flowers (honeysuckle, jasmine), ripe citrus (cedar). With the aeration, iodine notes appear accompanied by the warmer and sweeter ones of pastry. On the palate it is dense, finely spicy and invigorating. The attack is fresh and energetic thanks to citrus fruits (orange), dried fruit and Madagascar vanilla. The bubble melts delicately and gives way to a chalky freshness, revealing a finish at first sight light and powdery, but surprising for a real final acceleration with fine tannins and spicy tones.
