Louis Roederer Champagne Brut Nature 2015 by Philippe Starck cl 75
Vintage
2015 was an extraordinary year, especially considering the recognition of Champagne as a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Weather conditions marked a continental trend over the decade, with a mild, wet winter followed by a hot, dry summer. Despite the drought, a saving rain in late August helped the grapes ripen, producing juicy, ripe and concentrated fruit. The goal of this vintage is to capture the essence of a spectacular vintage!
Tasting Notes
- Color: Yellow with iridescent highlights.
- Effervescence: Dynamic and regular.
- Bouquet: Pure, soaring, vertical, rich and concentrated. Aromas of fine and delicate citrus zest (lemon, orange), vanilla (Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar), baked apple, and tarte tatin, with crisp undertones.
- Palate: Marked and singular contrast. Broad, juicy, almost sensual texture from the clay soils of Cumières, with a pure and stimulating vein of mineral freshness from the zero dosage. Ripe citrus and warm pebbles mingle to enhance the aspect related to salivation and umami. Energetic, light and ethereal finish.
