Masseria Setteporte Etna Rosso DOC 2021 BIO Cl 75

The Masseria Setteporte estate is located on the southwestern slope of Etna volcano, in the territory of the municipality of Bian- cavilla, within the Etna DOC area.

Viticulture on this slope has a very ancient history, and the Portale family has preserved its original identity characteristics for several generations. It is due to the intrapren- dence of Notary Ferdinando Portale to modernize the facilities with the transformation of the ancient sapling into espalier, a system that manages to combine modern viticultural techniques with the vegetative-productive peculiarities of nerello mascalese, the Etna variety par excellence.

The turning point came in 2002 when Piero Portale, sensing the potential of the vineyards, decided to continue the project started by his father, increasing the farm area from 12 to a total of 27 hectares, of which 16.5 hectares are planted with vines.

The vineyards lie on south-facing terraces at an al- titude between 650 and 800 meters.

The peculiarities of Tenuta Masseria Setteporte’s wine can be summed up in its elegance and aromas, combined with exceptional drinkability.
