Michter’s Limited Release Sour Mash Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon
This award-winning whiskey is the heart of the Toasted Barrel Sour Mash whiskey.
It is made by taking Michter’s Sour Mash Whisky US1 and then aging it for an additional period of time in a second custom cask.
This second cask is assembled from wood that has been air-dried for 18 months and then toasted but not charred.
Different toast levels for the second cask are evaluated before the production team led by Master Distiller Dan McKee and Maturation Master Andrea Wilson decide on the one that best displayed the elegant nuances of this extraordinary whiskey.

TASTING NOTES Notes of coffee and buttery vanilla up front with fragrant honey, milk chocolate, and a hint of orange peel. Toasty campfire notes appear on the palate and intensify the cherry and spice notes in this elegant whiskey.
