The Mulata Brand is owned by Tecnoazucar, a company founded in 1982 that produces and sells sugar cane derivatives, for which it holds 80% of the Cuban domestic market.
Mulata was launched in 1983 and covers 10% of the Cuban domestic market, with the 3rd place in sales, while it has been arriving in Europe since 1993.
Since 2001 it has boasted the “Sello de Garantia”, synonymous with guarantee of origin and since 2004 it has been one of the 7 rums officially destined for export by the Cuban government.
It is produced with the best molasses in the central part of the island of Cuba, at the Villa Clara headquarters, in a plant with a production capacity of 3 million liters and with 80 employees.
A common feature of the Mulata labels is the depiction of the goddess “Ochun”, the Venus of the Yoruba mythology patroness of Cuba, synonymous with love and motherhood.
Ron Palma Mulata is inspired by Cuban identity and culture, it contains the fire, the taste and the mixing of the people of him. The mulatto is present throughout Cuban history as a symbol of beauty and fire, which is why Ron Palma Mulata has as a symbol a mulatto who shows her smile, her hospitality and her natural beauty. Ron Palma Mulata is the reflection of “Cuban Pride”.
This distillate is the result of the millenary tradition in sugar processing and the art of making rum, handed down from generation to generation by the master roneros, a unique process that mixes the most exquisite rums aged in oak barrels.

Palma Mulata Elixir
This rum assimilate is made with the best rum-based liqueurs aged in Rum Mulata cellars. Amber color, bright and translucent. Complex wood aroma given by long aging mixed with raisins, macerated plums and other aromas of dried fruit. The flavor is persistent and has a long mark of sweetness. To be enjoyed cold or with ice, it can also be mixed with coffee or cola, with a splash of lime juice and ice.
