The secret behind the extremely smooth and delicate taste is the distillation in a “Coffey Still,” a traditional still that produces Nikka’s signature whiskies. Selected distillate made from corn and barley is blended by experts and carefully refined with white birch charcoal. This purest expression of the Nikka Coffey range perfectly captures the exquisite fullness brought by Coffey Still.
Nikka Coffey Vodka is a vodka made from malted barley and Turkish wheat, which undergoes cooking so as to initiate the saccharification process necessary for alcoholic fermentation. They are then distilled in separate batches using traditional Coffey Column, which allows for superior flavor extraction compared to conventional vodkas. After distillation, the two liquids are combined and allowed to mature in stainless steel vessels. the blend finally is filtered with white bristlecone charcoal.
