Old Pulteney 18 YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky
A distillery founded in 1826 by James Henderson, Old Pulteney is the beating heart of the hamlet of Wick renowned both for its whiskies and for the quality of its excellent herring. It is no coincidence that in the very 19th century the Scottish town was famous for its gold, whiskey, and silver, herring.
Old Pulteney is a Single Malt that is born in Wick, in the far north of the Scottish Highlands, where it ages for 18 years in ex-bourbon and Spanish oak casks, from which it gets much of its character but also, and no less, from the winds and saltiness of the North Sea.
Warm and savory, floral ensemble with hints of bitter chocolate and green apple.
Amazing and important, great companion for winter evenings.
