HISTORY: In 1840 the pro-Hellenic King Otto decided to move the capital of Greece to Athens to fulfill his dream of returning the 2,000-year-old, 8,000-person city to its former glory. Under the shadow of the Acropolis, in the cobblestone streets of the old city of Plaka, King Otto laid the foundations of the new Athens.
It was then that Ioannis Vouher created the first vermouth at the request of King Otto, to honor an ancient Greek tradition and celebrate the New Age. The Clumsies today is located within walking distance of the former King Otto House.

Otto’s Athens Vermouth reflects their idea of blending: an elegant and fresh product that is easy to use and unlike any other vermouth because of its bitter note. Perfect paired with tonic water.
PROFILE: Among the botanicals used in its production: rose petals, Roman wormwood, oregano, olive leaves, citrus, kumquat.
